BhAANKAASS... in Vikramgad-Divekarwadi

VikramgadDivekarwadi.. is the place we decided after long long discussion.. Good Choice Anagha.. Its nice place for family outing.. A place to have rest with some fun...
Party actually started on Friday 19Feb ... We had diner at BBC ( Borivalis famous chicken biryani center) .. it was awesome as always..from there everyone went home after deciding to meet 7AM in morning.. Me, Ashish and Arvind went to Arvinds home to continue with party.. :)
We did time pass till 3:30 AM watching Arvinds special south indian movie songs.. and playing cards and also magic with card (Ashish that was nice..)..
In morning we woke up at 6:15 AM .. so early after long long time...its really very difficult to wake up so early.. we were ready by 6:45 AM ... Ashish was trying to call Nilesh and Bhavik .. both kaminas was not picking up phone. we though we wont be able to start b4 9AM .. ****
Finally after some time they picked up phone and saved from our "Mar"... Then we had Tea and called up Sush .. they were abt to reach at Borivali... and Nilesh&Bhavik not yet started from Malad..shit... We were discussion that we should tell shalini to go to Thakur Mall and watch morning show.. till the time will will reach there.. :P.. Till the time we started photo session..
After all this "nautanki" we reach to Thakur Mall at 8AM and .... BHAANKAASS started...
and stuck in ****ing traffic .. Full "bhankas" was going on.. Bhavik was asking truckwalas " __ se koi song batao.." pretending "hum log car me antakshari khel rahe hai.." and Nilesh was running behind the car with bow and arrow.. hahahahha.. Then we started dedicating songs to eveyone.. i dont remember songs for everyone but it was fun.. "guys if you rember pls include int the comments"... finally that long traffic is over at Kashimira signal.. and we started in full speed..we had our first halt at some dhabha.. near Manor naka.. We had tea and started ahead..
we were following google maps.. which was not correct unfortunately .. and we lost our way.. but " jo hota hai ache k liye hota hai.. Nilesh baba ne banjar jammen par ban marke pani laya .aur khud gayap ho gaye...nilu baba ki jay.. "
and then HEMAN hold Superman in his hads.. historic moments you must see pics.. hahahahhahaand
also not to miss trailer of DID4... ( Mithun would have jumped off from the bridge if he would have seen that..) :P
after all this nautanki .. we reached resort at 12:30 PM...resort was amazing ... and our room was surrounded by natural beauties.. :)
after about half an hour we started our first event.. Vally crossing.. Vally was around 1000cm deep...:P.. we successfully completed this taks mostly bcoz.. location was surrounded by cheer leaders.. :P...then we had lunch.. after lunch.. event started "shalini ki bidai"... :D .. crying.. emotions.. ..after this event everyone was segregated.. some were taking rest.. some playing TT and Me Ashish and Bhavik were playing Cricket.. its was very enjoying.. after long long time i played cricket.. Bhavik and Ashish became fan of my fielding... :P
After some time we realize that we should play together ... so we assemble in a room.. to play mafia..most diff game .. :P.. Bhavik was explaining the game.. but everyone was in Masti mood.. b/w me and Nilesh started playing antakshri on mobile.. Bhavik got angry :D.... then to change the mood we started playing mendicote...we played couple of games and after that we went out to play outdoor games.. .. after long time i played badminton.. it was very good though becoz of that my both shoulders terribly paining in night.. after games we had tea and came back to room..
Don't want to tell how time spent from then till diner..
Dinner also was very good.. as if we are in GOA.. rest all you can imagine... :P... some medical college girls were stealing our food in front of our giants .. and everyone just steering at them .. cant blame anyone though :P...
everyone was calmly having diner..and self called GOD for the day started.. he was so confused that he was not able to finalize which god he is..finally he appointed assistant.. Chitragupt ... and our Diner was over.. :D
oh ha .. how can i forget Nilesh bringing whole plate of fruit crusted for us.. it was like "Lord Hanuman is bringing sanjeevani for us.." :D
After Dinner the real bhankas started.. we started playing dumb ch-eras .. Show starter of the night was our Anna.. with movie "Roop ki rani Choro ka raja".. everyone was confused from where the the word "Raat" came in to this moview.. :????... Then he was counting the number of words.. and told us"7 words but i will act only 4.. rest you hav to understand..." ??????.. :P.. 7 words?? hahahaha... Bhavik again told him the movie name.. that was hilarious.. awesome act.. i was almost getting cramp in stomach due to laughing.. he might have spent entire night acting that movie but shus guessed the movie name.. it was fun.. you cant imagine....ohhhhhhhhhh.enough..
Then we started acting for D grade movies.. Dont know from where Bhavik got all those names.. someone should chk his laptop.. :P.. wiase if you want a list.. contact Bhavik... :D
At 12 we went out for drive.. it was awesome drive with haunted stories in complete blackout..oooooooo..while coming we saw campfire on ground.. it was tempting in dark cold night..actually it was arranged for medical college .... but who cares..at 1 AM.. we went there and lit it up.. and SAMBHA dance started.. hahahahahahha.. that was height of bhankass...cant explain.. then we sat around campfire .. discussing haunted stories.. everything is happening in one day ... :)..but Bhavik want to listen some good stories.. so i asked him to share his love story.. offffff.. it lasted for 1 hr.. everyone was about to beat me for that.. :P.. (To bhavik story was exciting though.. )..after this I wanted to play truth and dare.. but it was almost 3 AM and fire was also over so we stopped.. after that Anagha, ashish and sud went for drive .. and we continue discussing the our stories....
Everyone came back to room at 4 AM... still charged up.. and laughing like anything.. for small jocks.. hahahahahah...
Morning we woke up at 7 to go to perform remaining events.. rappelling and boating.. it was fun too..
This was summary of events where i was present.. but there are some events which i missed.. lot of things happened in a day..
Trip was full of fun, emotions, masti, anger, fight, timepass, stunts... and so on...awesome outing guys..

My First Trip To GOA!!!

Finally literary finally GOA plan is successful.. one thing i observed that when you strive for something you get it.. 3 yrs back there was project pressure and i dropped the plan at end time..this time also situation was the same but i decided to go and i went..

It was a very good plan by Mota... we visited most of the places.. from south Goa to North Goa.. Dona Paula Beach, Mira-mar beach, baga, calangute, Anjuna, Vagator beach, Aguada Fort, Chapora Fort, St. Cathedral Church, Church of St. Francis of Assisis, Basilica of BomJesus Church. Mangeshi temple and finally Gapanati pule. Awesome trip.

We started on 25th night.. i reach Mulund at 10:15 p.m. and we started at 11:30, Mark waited for 3 hrs in office ...Mark was waiting but Vaibhavs 15 mins was not ready to end :P. at around 12 Mark join us.. after around 9 month i visited Patni ..we were very hungry.. we had diner at Shree krishna restaurant ( My Patni friends will remember it..).
As per plan we catch Pune-K
ohlapur highway... its really very good road to travel.. then thru Amboli ghat headed towards Panjim ... at around 12:30 PM on Republic day, we reach to Dona Paula Beach.. there we got very good accommodation at comparatively cheap rate (Michael 9823321133)..we had our lunch and then started sightseeing from

Dona Paula Beach..At the place where two of Goa's famous rivers meet the Arabian Sea
Our [PhD holder :P] Motus Wikipedia search says "A Love Story Named after Dona Paula de Menezes, this place is called the Lovers Paradise due to a myth that has been attached to this place. According one legend the Viceroy's daughter after facing objections from her family about her love affair with a poor fisherman jumped of the cliff.
Another legend says that punished for captivating Francisco de Tavora, the Count of Alvor with her charm the Viceroy's daughter was pushed off a cliff to drown in the waters below. Her irrepressible spirit still continues to haunt every visitor with legends of her lovers. She is even supposed to have been seen emerging from moonlit waves wearing only a pearl necklace."
( Vaibhav who too
k photo with the Dona Paula statue.. also experience behavioral change at night :P)

Then we headed towards Mira-mar beach... to have bhel..our 2 mins walk becomes a 2 hrs walk when we actually reach Mir
amar ..(then we realize that its good location to have boat tours with diner.. but we were out of time)..

2nd day morning we said bye to Dona Paula.. we had our breakfast which was not at all fast (coz we waste 45mins in search of parking itself)..
our second destination is histor
ical churches
St. Cathedral Church
The Portuguese Viceroy Redondo commissioned the Se, or St. Catherine's' Cathedral, southwest of St. Cajetan's, to be "a grandiose church worthy of the wealth, power
and fame of the Portuguese who dominated the seas from the Atlantic to the Pacific".It took eighty years to build and was not consecrated until 1640.

Basilica of BomJesus Church
The Basilica of Bom
Jesus is the most august and famous of all the churches in Old Goa. It contains the relics of St.Framcis Xavier, Patron saint of Goa, Apostle of the Indies. The construction of the church began on the 24th November 1594 AD. It is built of black laterite stone. The relics of St Francis Xavier were kept in this chapel from 1623-55 AD. The Blessed Sacrament was earlier kept on the main altar under the statue of St Ignatius and now is preserved in a gold tabernacle. The body of St. Francis Xavier was brought here from the College of St Paul after his canonization in 1624 AD. It was shifted to its present location in 1655 AD. The crystal urn was made in the Casa Brandizzi at Rome and was brought to Goa on January 30th 1955. The old wooden coffin with its three keys is now kept in the museum at the Professed House of the Jesuits.
( Sp. attraction of our visit is some eye catching natural beauties which our camara missed out :( )

Church of St. Francis of Assisis
Built in the 17th Century, a beautiful octagonal tabernacle ornately decorated has two statues, one of St Francis of Assisi and the other of Jesus on the cross. Vows of poverty, humility and obedience of St. Francis of Assisi are scripted right below these two statues

Then we visited famous Mangeshi temple.
In 1560, anticipating the onslaught of the Portuguese, the devotees had moved Shri Mangesh Shivalinga from Kutthal to a safer place under a Hindu prince. Surrounded by hillocks and covered by forests, the Shivalinga was kept at a place, which now is known as Mangeshi. The Peshwas donated in 1739, the village of Mangeshi to the temple on the suggestion of their Sardar, Shri Ramchandra Malhar Sukhtankar, who was a life-long devotee of Shri Mangesh.

From there we headed towards Aguada Fort but it was very dark that we could not able to see the site.
Then we went to Baga beach .. to search our second accommodation.. which again eat a lot of time.. around 1 and half hour.. and we were late and tired and had to drop pub and disk plan..:(
Then we had our diner at Baga beach ... its an awes
ome experience to have diner at seashore ...( we had veg though :( Vaibhav remember 120 and mine 240 :P ) At around 12 AM we finished our most lavish & expensive diner ...and went back to take rest coz we want to get ready for water sports next morning..

our second last day of trip we started on Baga and Calangute beach.. simply awesome experience in all sense..
swimming in sea, bouncing ride on wat
er scooter, flying in the sky with para sailing, stunning bumper ride and lot of masti on banana ride .. and all of these in just 500/head. also one free thing .. lot of eye catching natural beauties.. spread-ed across GOA
and then we walk to Calangute beach where Our animal lover (Rahul) give tennis ball to dog..but
sad is the love was only one sided :P

Then we had most delicious and expensive fish in lunch and headed towards Aguada Fort, Chapora Fort which we missed last day..
Aguada Fort
Built in the year 1612, Aguada Fort derives its name from the Portuguese word, ‘Aguada’, meaning water, A hotspot of various natural springs, a part of this famous fort has been changed into central jail.
Chapora Fort
Constructed in
the year 1617, Chapora Fort is located 22 km from Panaji, the capital city of Goa. The fort is entirely built of red laterite, it was built as a watch post of the border. However, during 1892, the fort was left deserted by the Portuguese.

Then we went to Anjuna beach ... mostly made up of rocks..
and t
hen to Vagator beach huge and mostly empty calm beach.
Then we went for shopping at Calangute beach... where i spend 2 hrs for shopping..bargaining with cashew seller was very complicated :P.. and Vaibhav trying to explain calculation to him ..hahahaha and we had cheapest but awesome diner of the trip :)...followed by deep discussion evergreen politics topic on Calangute beach shore..

while coming back to Baga .. Vaibhav desperately wants to eat ice-cream ... and we also :P.. we roam around for around 30 mins to search ice cream parlor...and that too around a pub where lot of babes where roaming (i guess waiting for partners to went inside pub... coz mostly entry is allowed only for couples :) ) Finally we had ice cream ...
The day end with usual event of my fight with Rahul.. without which any of our trip is incomplete :P

The last day we directly started our journey back to home..
In between we visited Ganapti Pule ..It houses the famous Swayambhu Ganapati temple... an awesome and auspicious place...surrounded by a beautiful beach..

Finally our last spot Vaibhav's home town.. our journey from Ganapati pule to Vaibhavs home was filled with lot of haunted stories and finally a haunted site visit..on the way .. didn't saw any ghost though :)..

It was very good trip.. filled with love, fight, seriousness, stupidity and Bhankkasss....

(we just want room to stay at night..so this was ok..the other option was to stay on bank of lake ..in tent..which will cost Rs 1200 .. best option if there is no rain)

Food - MTDC is best option we could search for food..good food at reasonable rates..

Abhayaranya entry at 'Shendi' villege..just beside MTDC.. (Amruteshwar temple, konkan kada 1 and 2, dam, etc.)
Amriteshwar temple - Built in 1100 AD, this temple has been constructed

Patni_Trek_2007(Siddhagadh)

Siddhagad don't go on it's name
, It's not a
ny proper fort build by someone as we all were thinking before we reached there -:)) BUT the trek was amazing!
We started at about 6:45 AM (25 mins late than the decided time) from Borivali then after picking up all frien
ds from different locations (and off course facing all problems like traffic, tire puncture) we reached at the bottom of actual location at around 12:00 PM.

Then at 12:30 our group started trekking and within 50 mins we were at first halt.
and our group w
ere the first one to reach there.
After 30 mins break we started again and within 15mins we were at 2nd halt.
We had our lunch there and then we started the most hard part of this trek
, it was somewhat vertical and slippery but within half an hour we reach there.
AND AT THE END WE CAME TO KNOW THERE IS NO FORT :)))))))

Under the guid
ance of professional trekkers we completed this awesome journey with excitement and full of energy. :)
